Lore Story
Region Arljan
An empire in perfect harmony and balance. Summer alternates with winter, sadness balanced equally with happiness and love can be found everywhere just as much as hate. An empire that has withstood atrocious wars and the devastation by the hands of necromancers. This land experienced the beautiful age of peaceful kings who would serve as soul caretakers and then later became the most powerful empire with the arrival of dragon riders.
The capital of Arljan is Sundar, where the manor of the ruling house Rahla Muren is located. Arljan is divided into five other parts — Tamil, Nuran, Loteron, Nadarin and Askelpon. Seven rivers flow through the Arljan. The largest is named after the first Dorian queen — Sheena. Others are Neora, Eruno, Failé, Tausren, Lunera and Andorer. There are also three beautiful mountains. The highest is called Tameel, others are Meror and Urner.
Arljan exports clothes, shoes and accessories to all empires. There is also a widespread cultivation of olives, potatoes and kohlrabi. Bakery is also widespread here; the bread is said to be the tastiest amongst the realms. There is widespread fishing and farming. Arljan cheese is also very famous for its aroma and scent.
As for minerals, you will find a large amount of silver, diamonds and other semi-precious stones.
Arljan welcomes everyone with open arms who wishes to come and live here. Slaver is outlawed and everyone can easily find a job in the clothing industry. Their technology is the most advanced of all the empires and they also have the largest population.
House Dorian
They are the direct descendants of one of the most powerful twelve wizards. Their family has been cursed several times over the centuries, and its foundations have changed. For five hundred years, necromancers sat on the throne and for the first two hundred years the necromancer Sheena maintained peace. However, for the following three hundred years, the other necromancers murdered each other and wreaked havoc throughout Arljan.
Then, after the First War of the brothers, King Nathan ascended the throne, and with his consent the necromantic power was bound, so that necromancers could no longer disturb the dead. Instead, it was to be used to help the deceased. In 832, the first Dorian dragon rider ascended the throne.
This house is accompanied by many superstitions, such as that if one of the Dorians has a child with a dark witch, the reign of evil necromancers would return. This house has ruled Arljan for eight hundred years and their castle is based in the capital Sundar.
House Daspan
A house of trained assassins raised to nobility by Queen Neora I. for their services in killing her brother, who wished to dethrone her. A wealthy house, which has distanced from official assassinations since King Nathan’s accession, though they still heavily train in martial arts and are a very proud and feared family.
During the Second War of the brothers, House Daspan had sided with Caleb because they believed that together with Samara they could produce a new necromancer, bringing their family back to the days when they were dominant rulers. However, this did not happen and this house changed sides at the last moment and supported the new King Christian. This act saved them, but they could never get rid of this stain on their reputation. Since then, they have lost respect and are considered very insidious and unpredictable. Their estate is located in Niran.
House Nyamar
The descendants of plant people who fled Andomine in time and had previously undergone the Enduro Ritual. Many of them have taken on an animal form as well as animal characteristics. In 622, Queen Victoria donated small estates to these refugees. The Nyamaras then began to produce very powerful weapons and, thanks to their close ties to nature, also very rare elixirs. Within a few decades, they had become a highly respected family of merchants. You can find their estate in Tamil.
House Trey
The most loyal house to the royal crown. Liam had a son Nathan with a member of this house. They hid it for many years and taught him humility and good manners. Thanks to the house’s kindness and fearlessness to stand up to the necromancers, they gained an honorable place at court. Many of them were executed when Caleb ascended the throne, but they rose again during the rule of king Christian. They have had their estate in the capital Sundar since 517. They often serve as advisers to kings, and House Dorian often marries their members.
House Avantyur
This house came from a long line of treasure hunters. They traveled among the realms looking for artifacts. In the year 800, they no longer search for artifacts, they only trade with them, yet there are still many who go on adventurers. It is rumored that one person has managed to sail between empires on a ship. Unfortunately, in 411, one of them found a gold plate of necromancy and misread it. This led to imposing a curse on this house, which caused all firstborn women to reach only thirty years. Many of them were killed by Damian’s hand in his search for the necromancers’ board. Later many of them fell at Caleb’s hands again due to this board. This family influence peaked during the reign of King Aaron, who married their eldest daughter Alanis. Their estate is located in Nadarin where the golden necromantic plate is kept in secret.
House Lentus
King Theodor fled Mekveti before all the portals closed. He and his people were welcomed as distinguished guests in the year 517. Nathan gave them wealthy lands to start a new life. During the escape, they also took a piece of moonstone with them, which they used to multiply their wealth by several. They donated a large piece of the moonstone to Queen Victoria so she could forge a legendary sword for her sister. This act secured them a place of honor with the House Dorian until they began to arm themselves against them. Since the ambitions of the other members of House Lentus knew no bounds, they wanted to seize the throne during Queen Anne’s reign. However, they lost the war and their ranks, despite their surrender and signing of peace agreement. A cold war between this family and the Dorian family continues to this day. They are based in Askelpon.
House Oranior
This house is as old as the House Dorian themselves. But they never longed for wars or a throne. The first members of this house worked at the royal court as a tailor. Over the years, they became tailors for the nobility of Arljan. Nowadays they run an enormous weaving and tailoring industry that dresses everyone from the poorest to the richest. From dwarves to elves. You can find their headquarters in Loteron. Ever expanding industry and countless employees of house Oranior makes Arljan flourishing empire.
