NFT Airdrop Explained
Math, Logic & Examples!
When we were thinking about the early utility of the NFTs we kept in mind that the early-stage investors are taking the highest risk and they must be rewarded with the added benefits and tweaks to the NFTs overlapping to the planned token, game, or raffles. Therefore we choose to reward the early NFT buyers with the token Airdrop.
The following editions of NFTs are going to receive:
✅ 1st. Edition 2.5% of the total supply.
✅ 2nd. Edition 2.5% of the total supply.
✅ 3rd Edition 1,5% of the total supply.
✅ 4th Edition 1,5% of the total supply.
Let’s use four examples 500k, 1,5 and 10 mil. market cap and bring down the edition 1.
In edition 1 we will airdrop a total of 2,5% supply.
How much is 2,5% supply worth in the following situations?
500k mcap = 12500 USD
1mil mcap = 25000 USD
5 mil mcap = 125000 USD
10 mil mcap = 250000 USD
Now we know the total budget to be distributed amongst NFT holders. The distribution happens based on the weight — the rarity of the cards. Looking at the sheet above let’s calculate the prizes for the legendary and mythic rare cards!
Relative value per 2.5% = 14,61% total that means:
At 500k mcap Legendary is worth 1826,25 USD
At 1 mil mcap Legendary is worth 3652,5 USD
At 5 mil mcap Legendary is worth 18 262,5 USD
At 10 mil mcap Legendary is worth 36 525 USD
Mythic Rare card
Relative value per 2,5% = 2.76% total that means:
At 500k mcap Mythic Rare is worth 345 USD
At 1 mil mcap Mythic Rare is worth 690 USD
At 5 mil mcap Mythic Rare is worth 3450 USD
At 10 mil mcap Mythic Rare is worth 6900 USD
Disclaimer: These calculations are solely hypothetical there is no guarantee that all of these market caps are going to happen despite there is a possibility. These examples are used to educate the community. In order to invest DYOR at first and always use logic, never invest more than you can afford to lose.
